ATTENTION VETERANS & ACTIVE DUTY SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN AND FAMILIES! Get yourself signed up so that when the 2010 boating season begins you can choose which boat you'd like to go on. This will allow you to be notified as the boats sign up and set their schedules and offerings. This is a free event which boaters all over America are offering. In 2009, we had 95 boats sign up for various outings nationwide between Memorial Day 2009 and today. Of those 95 boats, we were only able to fill about half of the boats for their outings due to the lack of awareness of BOASTY. If you know of other veterans across the country please help get our message to them as well. CLICK HERE to get involved in BOASTY. Don't wait till the last second to sign up with the boats! Otherwise, the boaters will make other plans and you'll miss out on the opportunity to go boating.
BOASTY is all about doing something special for the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. My idea was to take some younger veterans coming home out for a full day on my boat. As a veteran myself if someone had offered to do that for me, well, I couldn't have thought of a better way for people stateside to have said thank you to me. I love the water, have a boat, and this was what I thought up. So, do you have a boat? Sign up and get connected with some vets that would love to go out with you, get to know them, show them a great time, and share your love of the water. Or, take my lead and do something else for these great men and women!
